Cole Muller currently serves as General Manager, Cumulus Growth, a subsidiary of Talen Energy. In this capacity he leads Cumulus’ Data Center, Digital Coin, Renewables and Battery Storage businesses.

Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Vice President for Cumulus Growth, responsible for strategic growth across Talen’s generation asset footprint through decarbonization, repowering and development efforts. He previously led Talen’s PJM Fossil generation business unit, which was comprised of over eight gigawatts of generating units at 22 locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey. Before joining Talen, he was an Associate Partner for McKinsey & Co., advising energy clients, including Talen, on strategic opportunities and operational transformations.

A graduate of the US Naval Academy, Mr. Muller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He received his MBA from The Wharton School, and his JD from the University of Pennsylvania. He previously served as a submarine officer in the US Navy.
